P-11: DHR123: A Suitable Fluorescent Mitochondrial Probe for Assessment of H2O2 in Human Spermatozoa
Background: The objective of present study was to assess potential of DHR123 (dihydrorhodamine 123) fluorescent probe for measurement of H2O2 produced by human spermatozoa and comparing the results with DCFH-DA (2', 7'-dichlorodihydrofluorescein diacetate). Materials and Methods: Fluorescent intensity and percentage R123 and DCF positive sperm measured by flow cytometry. The suitable ...
متن کاملSuperior fluorescent probe for detection of cardiolipin.
Cardiolipin (CL) is a unique phospholipid found in mitochondrial inner membrane. It is a key component for mitochondrial function in both respiration and apoptosis. The level of CL is an important parameter for investigating these intracellular events and is a critical indicator of a number of diseases associated with mitochondrial respiratory functions. 10-Nonyl acridine orange (NAO) is the on...
متن کاملA fluorescent and colorimetric probe specific for palladium detection.
A selective Pd probe is described, which shows fluorometric and colorimetric responses towards both Pd(2+) ions and Pd(0)-complexes with excellent sensitivity and potential application. The fluorescence quenching effect of Pd(2+) is inhibited by filling up d-orbitals after the reduction from Pd(2+) (open-shell) to Pd(0) (closed-shell).
متن کاملA fluorescent probe for ecstasy.
A nanostructure formed by the insertion in silica nanoparticles of a pyrene-derivatized cavitand, which is able to specifically recognize ecstasy in water, is presented. The absence of effects from interferents and an efficient electron transfer process occurring after complexation of ecstasy, makes this system an efficient fluorescent probe for this popular drug.
متن کاملConductivity Detection in Cation Chromatography—Advantages and Disadvantages of Suppression
Introduction Conductivity detection is separated into two applications: suppressed and nonsuppressed. For the latter, indirect conductivity detection is a term also used in scientific literature, because background conductance resulting from the eluent electrolyte is very high (typically between 600 and 800 μS/cm). Historically we also find the term single column ion chromatography (IC), becaus...
